The Atlanta Braves have made it to their final homestand of the 2019 season, booked with six consecutive games at SunTrust Park this week.
After Sunday’s (Sept. 22) series’ finale versus the San Francisco Giants, the Atlanta Braves will embark on a five-game road trip, matching up with the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets, and then it’s the end of the 2019 regular season campaign.
But back to this current homestand.
In May, I wrote a piece detailing MLB’s attendance woes in 2019, highlighting the fact that after 14-straight seasons the league was experiencing a drop in attendance — a 4-percent decrease across the board since last season.
