Uggla Extends Streak As Braves Walk-Off For 2nd Straight Game

This time, the win was legitimate. With the Bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth, Braves back-up catcher (now starting catcher with McCann on the DL) David Ross came up and on the first pitch, ripped a single to left field for the win.

Technically this is the second Walk-off today, as the Braves won the game early this morning.

There were no bad calls, and no controversial endings to this one, The Braves pitching kept them close and the bats came through to get the braves their 61st win, and that moved them to 5 back of the first place Phillies.

In Rumor news, Carlos Beltran decided that Hotlanta wasn't his next home, opting for San Francisco's cooler weather. The Braves did however acquire Brewer's back-up catcher Wil Nieves to serve as Ross' back-up while Brian McCann is on the DL. The Braves only gave up cash considerations for Nieves, and are still looking for a center fielder/RHP.

Dan Uggla upped his hitting streak to 18 straight games. His average is now a respectable .205 (OVER THE MENDOZA LINE! WAY TO GO DANNY BOY)
