Aston Villa have announced that investment company Atairos will become a partner in club owners V Sports.
If the deal is approved, V Sports' Nassef Sawiris and Wesley Edens will continue to own 100% of Villa and have full control of decisions.
A joint statement from Sawiris and Edens said: "V Sports is fully committed to further investment in Aston Villa FC and its men’s and women’s teams, and looks forward to its continued growth and success."
Michael Angelakis, chairman and CEO of Atairos, said: "Aston Villa is a historic football club with an exceptional management team and significant growth potential.
