Thomas Frank insists he has 'unfinished business' at Brentford after being shortlisted as a possible Steven Gerrard replacement at Aston Villa, with the Bees hopeful he will sign a new deal soon

Thomas Frank insists he is enjoying life at Brentford despite featuring on Aston Villa’s list of possible replacements for Steven Gerrard.

Even though the Bees were beaten 4-0 at Villa Park, Frank is admired by Villa – led here by caretaker boss Aaron Danks – for the fine job he has done at Brentford, and has a long-standing friendship with Villa sporting director Johan Lange.

Yet Brentford are hopeful Frank will sign a new deal with them, which would secure a huge pay rise.
