Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew has revealed he told former Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi to join Marseille.
Amavi moved to the French club from Villa this summer on loan with a view to permanent switch.
Plenty of other clubs were chasing the defender, though, including Spanish side Sevilla.
But now Ayew, who spent five years at Marseille before playing with Amavi at Aston Villa, has explained he told the 23-year-old to go to the Ligue 1 club.
"Amavi had told me about the options that he had," Ayew told SFR Sport.
