Stevenage manager Steve Evans accuses Aston Villa of running SCARED after his team orchestrated one of the biggest FA Cup upsets in history, embarrassing the Premier League side 2-1 on their home turf

Steve Evans accused Aston Villa of running scared after his Stevenage side produced one of the great FA Cup upsets to embarrass the Premier League club.

Morgan Sanson’s first-half goal looked to have sent Villa into the fourth round before Stevenage, who are second in League Two, scored twice in the final two minutes through substitutes Jamie Reid – from the penalty spot – and Dean Campbell. Leander Dendoncker was shown the red card when he fouled Campbell for the spot-kick.

Evans also hinted Villa – who made eight changes – had been reluctant to put in the hard yards against a club 59 places below them in the league system.
