Aston Villa became the latest club to join the Premier League sacking club this month by getting rid of long-term head coach Dean Smith on Sunday.
Boyhood Villa fan Smith had taken the club from the bottom half of the Championship in 2018 to the Premier League in just half a season - and managed to create a squad capable of staying in the top-flight over the three years he spent at Villa Park.
But five straight defeats in the league has spelled the end of Smith's reign, with the club lying in 15th place in the Premier League and just two points above the drop zone.
