Steven Gerrard is interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho for prospective new club Al-Ettifaq.
Gerrard, who has been out of work since he was sacked by Aston Villa last October, is reportedly set to be appointed as the new manager of Al-Ettifaq.
According to journalist Romain Molina, Gerrard has arrived in Saudi Arabia as he prepares to take the Al-Ettifaq job.
And he is hoping for a reunion with Philippe Coutinho, a player he both managed and played with.
The pair spent two and a half seasons as team-mates at Anfield, one of which was the infamous campaign in which they let the title 'slip' in the final weeks.
