Steve Bruce has revealed Jonathan Kodjia is likely to need an operation on his injured ankle which would keep him out for months.
The Aston Villa manager described the news as ‘devastating’ and admitted he would look to enter the January market to reinforce his attack with Scott Hogan also on the sidelines.
Kodjia has seen two specialists and undergoing surgery on the same ankle the striker broke in April now seems the only option.

The 28-year-old, who scored 19 Villa goals last season, was out for nearly five months this year due to the problem and a similar spell of recovery is possible again.
