Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron has travelled with the squad to Aston Villa, ruling out a move to Saudi Arabia.
The transfer window in Saudi closes on Tuesday night and the Paraguayan now looks set to stay at St James’ Park.
There have been talks with Al-Shebab over a transfer during the past week but Almiron preferred to see out the season at Newcastle.
He missed Saturday’s FA Cup win at Fulham because of illness and, while not at 100 per cent, he is set to feature at Villa Park.
