Tottenham Hotspur is mourning the death of commercial chief, Simon Bamber, who was a right-hand man to club chairman Daniel Levy following a 20-year association with the club.
Heartfelt tributes have been paid to Bamber, who was a popular member of the Spurs’ senior team, including from former first-team manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
Bamber died suddenly after he was taken ill following Spurs’ home defeat against Aston Villa on Wednesday, leaving his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Ginny.
Former Spurs boss, Pochettino, who was dismissed from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November 2019 and now manages Paris Saint-Germain, posted a personal message on Instagram alongside a picture of himself and Bamber enjoying a glass of champagne on a private jet.
