The Premier League are in talks with Manchester City and Arsenal over re-arranging their postponed clash for next Wednesday.
The fixture - which will see Mikel Arteta return to the Etihad Stadium for the first time since leaving City to become Gunners boss - was scheduled for last Sunday, but City were involved in the Carabao Cup Final against Aston Villa at Wembley.
Next week is free for both teams and top-flight officials have broached the idea of playing the game on Wednesday, March 11.

A decision on the proposed date for the Etihad clash is expected within the next 24 hours.
