John Terry denies he's interested in taking over at Nottingham Forest as he publicly distances himself from the job and labels the speculation 'unfair' on current boss Chris Hughton

John Terry has publicly distanced himself from the Nottingham Forest job after reports claimed he was interested in replacing Chris Hughton.

The former England international left his post as Aston Villa No 2 back in July and is waiting for the right opportunity to arise to take his first managerial job.

The Sun claimed Terry was ready to throw his hat in the ring if under-fire boss Hughton was axed by Championship side Forest, but the 40-year-old has now dismissed it as speculation.

However, the ex-Chelsea defender released a statement on Tuesday distancing himself from the job

In a post on his Instagram story, Terry said: 'I just want to distance myself from the Nottingham Forest job, and all the speculation surrounding myself with the job.
