James Maddison DOES make England's World Cup squad with Wilson, Coady and Gallagher also included - but there's NO room for Tomori, Toney, Bowen and Ward-Prowse as Gareth Southgate announces his 26-man list for Qatar

James Maddison and Callum Wilson have been named in England's World Cup squad for Qatar - but Fikayo Tomori, Marc Guehi, Ivan Toney, Tammy Abraham, Ryan Sessegnon, James Ward-Prowse and Jarrod Bowen have all missed out on a spot.

Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate is set to name his official 26-man squad for the tournament later on Thursday.

Maddison was initially feared to be in danger of missing out on a plane ticket to Qatar - despite his scintillating season with Leicester City - but his form has been rewarded by Southgate.

But AC Milan's Tomori and Crystal Palace's Guehi - both highly rated young centre halves - will not travel, with Kyle Walker and Ben White expected to be named among the centre back options.
