Everton are hopeful of signing Jack Harrison from Leeds United on a season-long loan, despite Aston Villa making a late move for the winger.
Harrison, 26, had a medical at Everton on Sunday before Villa showed interest.
Villa have an agreement in place to sign the Englishman, but Everton still hope to complete the transfer.
Harrison joined Leeds in 2021 for £11m from Manchester City, having been on loan at the club since 2018, and has scored 34 goals in 206 games.
Harrison has a hip injury and is not set to return to action for at least a month.
