AC Milan's Ruben Loftus-Cheek has reportedly earned a surprising late call-up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad.
The former Chelsea midfielder's recall to the national team comes after Adam Wharton was forced to withdraw with the abductor injury he suffered in Crystal Palace's 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, according to The Athletic.
The FA are however yet to confirm whether or not the Eagles midfielder has withdrawn with his knock.
Loftus-Cheek, now 29, last played for England in 2018 in a friendly against the United States and has not been included in a squad for more than six years.
