Everton's misery has been compounded after the club sustained another injury blow as Abdoulaye Doucoure has been ruled out for at least a month.
The midfielder was forced off in the 65th minute of the Toffees 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Goodison Park last Saturday.
The club confirmed that the 29-year-old underwent tests following the game which revealed he had sustained a groin injury and will require a period of rehabilitation for a minimum of four weeks.
