Everton are poised to make 38-year-old Ashley Young their first signing of the summer on a one year contract this week.
Talks are at an advanced stage and a medical is scheduled for this week for the former Aston Villa and Manchester United utility player.
Everton travelled to Switzerland for pre-season training on Monday with defenders Mason Holgate and Vitaliy Mykolenko staying behind for treatment on injuries.
The former England right-back was released by Aston Villa following the expiration of his contract, after he joined the midlands club back in 2021 on a free transfer.
