Everton are on the brink of signing Udinese's Beto after he 'completes his medical'... as the goal-shy Toffees lure the £25m forward having yet to score in the Premier League this season

Everton are on the cusp of signing Udinese striker Beto, with the Portuguese star having reportedly completed his medical at Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche's side sit at the foot of the Premier League table ahead of Friday's transfer deadline and are the only team in the division yet to score a goal so far.

The Toffees, who have already suffered three defeats against Fulham, Aston Villa and Wolves, are now on the brink of landing Beto for a fee in the region of £25million.

Mail Sport understands Everton will pay £21.
