Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has outlined how he told Kylian Mbappe to 'get up and look forward' in the immediate aftermath of the World Cup final.
The duo were their nations heroes in the trophy-encounter with the Aston Villa shot-stopper sensationally denying two of France's penalty-takers, while PSG talisman Mbappe scored a hattrick in open play before also converting in the shootout.
Martinez is one of Argentina's main protagonists and was again pulling out all the mind games to get the better of France in the final, but despite winding up opponents and his crude celebration with the tournament's Golden Glove trophy, he also took time to console Mbappe.
