Didier Drogba has moved swiftly to deny rumours that he is the big name forward linked with Aston Villa.
Owner Tony Xia had announced that the club were closing in on a 'world class' striker, sending the social media world crazy with anticipation.
Current Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo worked alongside the Chelsea legend to great effect in 2012, winning the FA Cup and famously the Champions League with Drogba scoring the winning penalty against Bayern Munich.

However, the 38-year-old - who now plays for Montreal Impact - quickly dismissed the speculation, by taking to his Twitter account.
