Aston Villa are lining up a move for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Bamford, 22, has spent the last couple of seasons out on loan after failing to break into Chelsea's first-team.
Since signing from Nottingham Forest in 2012 he has spent time on loan with MK Dons, Derby County, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Norwich City but he is yet to make his full debut for Chelsea.
A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Bamford, but Villa are hoping to win the race for as they look to reshape their squad before the close of the transfer window.
