John Terry has give his backing to Gary Cahill in the race to succeed him as Chelsea captain.
Terry signed for Aston Villa on a one-year deal on Monday after his Stamford Bridge exit, leaving the Blues in need of a new club skipper.
And, having spent five and a half years sharing a dressing room with Cahill, it is Terry's opinion that his former defensive partner is the right man for the job.

'Gary has been brilliant as captain for Chelsea but the manager will decide,' he told the Evening Standard.
