Aston Villa's Leandro Bacuna handed six-game ban after sending off for confronting linesman in Derby

Leandro Bacuna has received a six-game ban after his sending off against Derby for confronting the linesman.

The 25-year-old was dismissed after he squared up to Mark Russel in injury-time at Villa Park before moving his head towards him.

Bacuna will miss some crunch games for Villa, including clashes against high-flyers Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday.

A statement from the Football Association on Friday morning read: 'Aston Villa's Leandro Bacuna will serve a six-match suspension following his dismissal in the game against Derby County.
