Aston Villa to fine Jack Grealish £50,000 for late-night antics as Roberto Di Matteo reads the riot act

Furious Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo is set to fine Jack Grealish two weeks’ wages — around £50,000 — following the player’s latest off-field indiscretion.

As revealed by Sportsmail on Wednesday, the 21-year-old Aston Villa midfielder held a rowdy early hours party at a Birmingham city centre hotel which ended only when six police officers were called by panicked staff to kick the revellers out.

Di Matteo has already read the riot act to the player and the rest of his first-team squad and warned them about their conduct.
