Aston Villa is emerging as a serious option for former Chelsea and England captain John Terry as he seeks to extend his playing career.
Villa boss Steve Bruce wants to add experience, leadership and physical presence to his squad ahead of the new Championship season.
Terry can deliver on all counts if Bruce is able to persuade the veteran centre-half to drop down into the second tier rather than pursue interest from Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The 36-year-old said at the end of the season that he would prefer to continue playing if there was an attractive offer.
