Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack has signed for Melbourne City on loan until January.
The 31-year-old Scotland international is expected to be unveiled by the A-League club on Sunday as they prepare to kick-off their new season against Brisbane Roar on October 6.
Coach Warren Joyce, the former Wigan Athletic manager targeted McCormack to replace Uruguayan forward Bruno Fornaroli who fractured his ankle last month.

McCormack, a £12million signing from Fulham last year, saw a deadline day move to Sunderland fall through at the last minute and was a target for Fenerbahce before they signed Vincent Janssen from Tottenham.
