Aston Villa dealt blow in the race to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus, with the £26m rated midfielder 'favouring move to Germany, where Borussia Dortmund lead the hunt for the USA star'

Aston Villa have been dealt a blow in the race to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus, with the £26million rated star keen on a move to the Bundesliga.

Unai Emery's men have been keeping tabs on the midfielder who has fallen out of favour in Turin who has also attracted past interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

However, according to Tuttosport, McKennie is not keen on a move to the Premier League and his choice of destination is thought to be the Bundesliga.
