Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford: Jonathan Kodija's curler not enough for first win in five after John Egan equaliser

Aston Villa's miserable home run continued as John Egan's equaliser two minutes from time left them floundering near the foot of the early Championship table.

It's the third time already this season that Villa have conceded a late goal to drop two points at home.

And however much boss Roberto Di Matteo might plead for time after bringing in nine new players in the summer, he knows he has to start winning games soon if he has any hope of taking the club back to the Premier League at the first chance.
