Arsenal are closing in on a new replacement keeper after agreeing a £1.6million fee with French club Dijon for Runar Alex Runarsson.

Mikel Arteta is missing a shot-stopper in his squad after the club allowed Emiliano Martinez to mvoe to Premier League rivals Aston Villa this week.

Runarsson, who had made 36 Ligue 1 appearances for his club, is due in London for a medical today, ahead of completing the switch.
