'A lot of fuss is made of Jack Grealish, but McGinn does a lot of the unseen work': Graeme Souness hails returning Aston Villa star and claims he could by key to securing Premier League survival

Graeme Souness believes John McGinn could hold the key to Aston Villa's Premier League survival hopes when the season restarts next week.

Villa will contest the first game in English football in three months when they face Sheffield United on Wednesday with McGinn in line for a first start since December.

The Scottish midfielder had been one of Villa's best players before fracturing his ankle before Christmas, but the coronavirus hiatus has given him the chance to play his part in the remainder of the campaign.

And his influence could be even greater than captain Jack Grealish, who has been one of the outstanding performers in the entire division, argues Souness.
