WSL ROUND-UP: Vivianne Miedema fires Arsenal to a win over Everton, while Emma Hayes celebrated her 300th match in charge of Chelsea... PLUS, Katie Zelem extends record as Man United captain

On the day her countrymen were advancing to the quarter-finals of the men’s World Cup, Vivianne Miedema kept her Arsenal side in the chase for the women’s Super League title.

The Dutch striker produced a superb finish in the 24th minute to give Arsenal a 1-0 win against Everton at Meadow Park.

Miedema had seven shots at goal in a dominating performance only to be denied by determined Everton defending.
