Benfica's president has ruled out a sensational return for David Luiz because he earns too much money at Arsenal.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move back to the Portuguese club where he made his name after it emerged that the Gunners were yet to renew his contract.
However, Luis Filipe Vieira insists that Benfica cannot afford to pay him anywhere near the £120,000 a week salary he currently earns at the Emirates.

Vieira also urged Luiz to 'make money' by remaining in the Premier League and revealed that the defender is about to have his deal extended by a further year.
