The family of Jose Antonio Reyes are at risk of being evicted as a result of serious financial issues following the former striker's death, according to reports.

The footballer was killed along with his 23-year-old cousin while another man suffered serious burns when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned and burst into flames in Utrera, the town where Reyes was born, just outside Seville.

He was reportedly on his way home after training, having not been picked by current club Extremadura to play against Cádiz in June 2019, according to Spanish media.

Now, though, three properties that the players owned are set to go up for auction in the coming days, including the home of his parents, who are now facing eviction on June 26 by court order.
