The young Swedish defender makes her first move overseas, having been at Hammarby IF since 2022 after moving there from Alvsjo.
Speaking to us at the Sobha Realty Training Centre in her first club interview, Smilla summed up her emotions: “Incredible and very special. Arsenal is a huge club with high standards and it's unreal to be honest.
“I think everyone, especially me, has grown up watching Arsenal play. It's very special and I'm so proud to be here and can't wait to get started.
