Renée Slegers was disappointed that we weren’t able to build on our equalising goals in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat away to Manchester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
After being pegged back to 1-0 down, we started the second half fantastically, Mariona Caldentey equalising straight away. But City restored their lead, before we equalised again, only for the hosts to then make it 3-2.
“We’re very disappointed,” our head coach said post-match. “I think it's two top teams going against each other, so you're prepared that momentum will shift. We're disappointed, conceding three goals. I think the two goals that we score today are high quality goals.
