Shkodran Mustafi has penned an open letter to Arsenal fans thanking them for their support 'through good and not so good times' after sealing his departure on deadline day.
The 28-year-old terminated his contracted six months early and moved on a free transfer to Schalke on Monday, ending his four-year stay at the Emirates.
The German centre-back won two FA Cup trophies with the Gunners and said that he and his family 'will always remember the time we had in London and with Arsenal.'

Hi Gunners,
After four years, 151 matches and two FA Cup trophies, I just wanted to say thank you to the Arsenal community, our great staff, the fans and of course my team-mates.
