Josephine Henning's return to the club was well-received by supporters and followers of the women's game alike - but Danielle van de Donk was particularly pleased to see her former team-mate back in Arsenal colours.
The European Championship winner played with Henning in the 2016 season and explained just why she values the Germany international so highly.
"She’s just a die-hard defender," Danielle told Arsenal Player. "She’s like [Sergio] Ramos!
"Viv I know very well because she’s Dutch and Josi Henning I know because I’ve played with her for a season before at Arsenal. I don’t know Jessica really well but I’ve been impressed by everyone to be fair.
