PSV Eindhoven hit with £34,700 fine and ordered to reimburse Arsenal for the damage their fans caused during their Europa League clash at the Emirates

PSV Eindhoven have been hit with a €40,000 fine (£34,700) for the damage their fans caused during their Europa League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on October 20.

The Dutch club will also not be allowed to sell tickets to fans for their next European away game, and have been ordered to reimburse Arsenal for the damage done by their supporters.

Confirming their decision, UEFA released a statement on Thursday morning outlining the punishment handed down to PSV.

The statement read: 'Fine PSV Eindhoven €40,000 and to ban PSV Eindhoven from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next one (1) UEFA competition match, for throwing of objects, crowd disturbances and acts of damages.
