Arsene Wenger could come back and haunt Arsenal when he leaves the Gunners, according to club great Paul Merson.
The ‘WengerOut’ brigade have been in loud voice over recent months, and Sunday’s defeat at the hands of Newcastle – which leaves Arsenal just two points clear of seventh – has increased the pressure on the Frenchman.
Though he has made it clear he intends to see out his full contract, which runs until the summer of 2019, Wenger’s future will be discussed in Arsenal’s corridors of power at the end of this season.
