Mikel Arteta breaks silence on Arsenal's transfer plans for the rest of the summer after sealing £64m Viktor Gyokeres move

Mikel Arteta teased that there could be more to come from Arsenal in this summer's transfer window after the Gunners' finally sealed Viktor Gyokeres' £63.5million signing.

Arsenal put an end to their two-month saga with Sporting CP on Saturday, announcing the Sweden international's arrival, before unveiling him before their pre-season game against Newcastle less than 24 hours later.

Also joining Arteta's ranks for the 2025-26 season are Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristian Mosquera, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard.

Arteta had bemoaned the club's inability to supply him with more firepower in the January transfer window, but the financial backing has been strong for him in the first summer under new sporting director Andrea Berta, who replaced Edu.
