Madison Earl was pulling the strings for Ipswich Town in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
They beat AFC Portchester 5-0 away from home in the third round and, after Earl provided assists for Lucy O’Brien and Ruby Seaby, she scored the fifth and final goal with a powerful strike from distance.
Elsewhere in the competition, Jessie Gale played 90 minutes as Portsmouth were knocked out by Bristol City, while Naomi Williams wasn’t in the squad for the Robins.
In the Barclays Women’s Super League, Rosa Kafaji played 59 minutes of Brighton & Hove Albion’s 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, the Seagulls dropping to seventh.
