Alan Smith believes Arsenal will be severely affected by the loss of Santi Cazorla to injury, but ruled out a return for Jack Wilshere to replace him.
The Spanish playmaker was ruled out for three months on Thursday with an ankle injury, which requires surgery.
Cazorla has not featured for the Gunners since October and Smith believes his former side will suffer in his absence.
Speaking to Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, he said: “It is a blow, came out of nowhere really didn’t it.
