Leeds United want loanee goalkeeper Illan Meslier as their number one next season if they can earn promotion

Leeds United want to go with 20-year-old Illan Meslier as their Premier League goalkeeper next season if they win promotion.

Meslier, currently on loan from French club Lorient, has made a huge impression at Elland Road after replacing Kiko Casilla while he began a suspension for using racist language towards Charlton's Jonathan Leko.

The only goal the French under-20 international has conceded in three matches was in an FA Cup tie at Arsenal and Marcelo Bielsa praised his composure after keeping two clean sheets in The Championship.
