LA's SoFi Stadium 'will NOT be a 2026 World Cup venue after owner Stan Kroenke opted against making necessary changes, leaving New York's MetLife and Dallas' AT&T to battle it out for the final'

SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles is very close to losing out on, not just hosting the World Cup final, but being a venue for the tournament at all, according to a report.

With just over two and a half years to go until the greatest soccer event hits North America, the location for the final showdown still hasn't been decided.

MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Jets and Giants, the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T, and SoFi Stadium, where both the LA Rams and Chargers play, were originally thought to be the final three contenders for the honor of hosting the 2026 World Cup final.
