Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool will be WITHOUT Luis Diaz for their second leg rescue mission against Real Madrid... and insists he 'has to be patient' over the Colombian's return after long-term knee injury

Luis Diaz is set to miss Liverpool’s rescue mission against Real Madrid after Jurgen Klopp confirmed the influential forward is not yet able to train.

The Colombia international had a huge impact in the second half of last season following his £50million move from Porto but he has not had the opportunity to take that promise to a higher level this year; he has not played since damaging his knee at Arsenal on October 9.

Diaz was recently given the opportunity to increase the intensity of his rehabilitation programme and Klopp has watched the 26-year-old closely.
