Jurgen Klopp seemed to think that Mohamed Salah had pulled Liverpool level against Arsenal before belatedly discovering that wasn't the case. However, Liverpool eventually equalised through Roberto Firmino.
The hosts won a penalty at the start of the second-half after Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale brought down Liverpool forward Diogo Jota as he came to try and claim a corner.
Salah was handed the ball and the responsibility to try and equalise from the penalty spot after his initial 42nd minute finish had reduced the deficit, but moments later had his head in his hands.
