An incredible first-half – in which the Premier League record for most goals in the opening 45 minutes was equalled – laid the foundation for a memorable away day at West Ham.
Gabriel turned home Bukayo Saka’s corner to start the onslaught before Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard from the penalty spot made it 3-0. Kai Havertz quickly added a fourth, before West Ham threatened a comeback, scoring twice themselves within three minutes.
But Saka’s penalty in first-half stoppage time calmed any nerves, and we saw out the win after the break.
