Granit Xhaka embarrassingly boasted of his 'discipline and respect for others' in Arsenal's programme before being sent off for grabbing Burnley's Ashley Westwood by the throat in latest defeat for Mikel Arteta's side

Arsenal's Granit Xhaka is facing more embarrassment after he promised 'discipline and respect for other people' in his programme notes before being set off for grabbing Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood by the throat on Sunday night.

The Gunners suffered a fourth successive home defeat in the Premier League with Sean Dyche's struggling Burnley side claiming a 1-0 win at the Emirates.

But the major talking point of the game came just before the hour mark when a skirmish broke out between both sets of players after a foul on Burnley winger Dwight McNeil.
