Freya Godfrey has left Arsenal to join London City Lionesses on a permanent transfer.
The forward joined us at the age of 12 in 2017, developing through our youth academy before signing her first professional contract with us in June 2023.
Freya made her senior Arsenal debut from the bench in our Barclays Women’s Super League win over Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2023, while she received a first taste of European football as a second-half substitute in our 3-1 win at Valerenga in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in December 2024.
As part of her development, Freya spent the second half of last season on loan at London City Lionesses in the Barclays Women’s Championship, where she made eight appearances and provided three assists to help the team secure promotion to the WSL.
